Diefenbunker Doors Open Ottawa Tour

June 6 @ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Diefenbunker Doors Open Ottawa Tour

As part of Doors Open Ottawa, the Diefenbunker Cold War Museum offers free 30-minute Highlights Tours of Canada’s most significant surviving Cold War artifact, a four-storey underground facility built to serve as the central communications headquarters during a nuclear emergency. Tours cover key areas including the Blast Tunnel, the War Cabinet Room, and the Prime Minister’s Suite, with entry time slots running every 15 minutes from 10 AM to a last entry of 2:15 PM. Tickets must be reserved in advance as the event was listed as almost full ahead of the date, and walk-up visitors may not be admitted. No general admission or self-guided exploration is available on this day, only the scheduled Highlights Tours. The Diefenbunker is located at 3929 Carp Road in Carp, roughly 30 minutes from downtown Ottawa by car, and transportation is not provided.

Event details can change, so verify with the organizer before attending.
