Doors Open Ottawa 2026

Doors Open Ottawa returns for its 24th anniversary with the theme Doors to the Past: Bytown’s Bicentennial Journey, giving free access to 90-plus historic and modern Ottawa buildings that are normally closed to the public or charge admission, including embassies, breweries, churches, heritage buildings, and government sites. Notable 2026 participants include the Diefenbunker Cold War Museum in Carp, the Library and Archives Canada building at 395 Wellington Street, Arts Court, and the University of Ottawa’s Advanced Research Complex. Some locations require advance registration so checking the official City of Ottawa Doors Open page early is strongly recommended. Heritage Ottawa will be at Arts Court on June 6 from noon to 5 PM with a free walking tour handout. This is an all-ages free event that runs Saturday and Sunday across the city and is one of the largest Doors Open events in the world.
Event details can change, so verify with the organizer before attending.
