Ottawa Rapid FC kicked off 2026 with a friendly match last month on April 17 against Bay FC of the NWSL at PayPal Park in San Jose, marking the first open match between the North American Leagues. The team opened the season against the Halifax Tides on April 25. They return to Ottawa for the home opener on May 2 against the Calgary Wild at TD Place.
