RCMP Musical Ride Sunset Ceremonies

June 25 @ 9:00 am - June 28 @ 5:00 am
Free

The RCMP hosts four free family-friendly Canadian Sunset Ceremonies at their Ottawa stables on June 25, 26, 27, and 28, each starting at 7:00 PM with the world-famous Musical Ride performing thrilling cavalry drills choreographed to music. Each show features the combined pipe bands of the RCMP and Ottawa Police Service, the Capital Cowgirls, the Governor General’s Foot Guards Band, a flag lowering ceremony, and a community singing of O Canada. Free parking is available off the Sir George-Etienne-Cartier Parkway, and OC Transpo Route 7 serves the grounds; accessible parking is on a first-come basis via the South gate at Sandridge Road and St. Laurent Boulevard. Attendees should bring a blanket or lawn chair and arrive early to browse vendor booths; cash and food bank donations are collected on June 26 and 27. The event may be cancelled in extreme weather so check RCMP social media accounts for updates. Event details can change, so verify with the organizer before attending.
