Turkwaz & Medusa

Turkwaz and Medusa Quartet unite eight musicians for a free open air concert on the NAC’s Wood Terrace overlooking the Rideau Canal. The two groups fuse Sufi devotional songs, Balkan traditions and reimagined string quartet arrangements into a sound they call Hagerophony. Shows run at 7:30 PM on August 11, 12 and 13, accessible directly from Elgin Street, the canal or the Mackenzie King Bridge. Space is limited to 400 guests on a first come, first served basis, so early arrival and a folding chair are recommended. No tickets are required and the terrace stays open to overflow seating once capacity is reached. Event details can change, so verify with the organizer before attending.
